I use domestic and exotic wood for my calls. I buy most of my wood from right here in the Midwest where I have a pretty nice selection to work with. Woods that I commonly have on hand are, Black Walnut, Wild Cherry, Ash, Hickory, Maple, Osage Orange, Pecan, Splatted Ash, Splatted Maple, African Mahogany (light and dark) and several odds and ends of exotics like African rosewood, Wenge, Nogal, Ebony etc.

If I don’t have the wood you are looking for I can get it. I have had requests from several loyal customers to turn wood that they have into calls. I can do this as long as the wood is not rotted or unstable. If I have to stabilize the wood it gets expensive fast. I take requests - Email Me

Welcome to Kelly’s Call’s, and thanks for visiting. While you are here please take time to check out the many call designs which I have designed in past years. The Duck call and the Goose call pictures are shown together. I hand turn these calls one at a time so I can use any of these designs or use one of yours to make you either a duck call or goose call. I make three levels or grades of Custom Duck and Goose calls. Field Grade, Classic Grade and Collector Grade. All of my calls are working class calls. They are tuned to hunt and to put birds on the ground. No call leaves my shop until its ready to hunt !!!

Goose Hunting Calls

"Zookie" Custom Goose Calls. These are competition designed calls, These are the calls that the Kellys Kalls Pro Staff will be using this year, They are an Acrylic Cylinder style call. On the stage or in the blind they are winners. It took me three years of testing SR Gut designs before I found one that was worth using in my calls, These are easy to tune and easy to use. Heck, They even make me sound good! Now that's saying something !!


My custom calls take several hours to make and like I said they are made by hand one at a time by me. Tuned and tested by me. My calls are a labor of love as any true custom call maker will tell you.These are the things you pass on to your sons or daughters some day. I don’t think of my calls as an investment but some of my customers would argue that point.

Instead I see these as tools for helping make some great memories for you and those you hunt with. Those memories are priceless and will be with you forever.
